Columbus Colony Elderly Care (CCEC) is a 150-bed nursing facility certified for private pay, managed care, Medicare and Medicaid, offering both skilled and intermediate levels of care. Residents can remain in our facility even if there is a significant change in their health care status or financial situation.

Among the health services available within the facility are physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dentistry, podiatry and psychiatry. Escorted transportation is provided to various types of other specialized care.

Physical Therapy

Several of the nurses have specialized backgrounds in geriatric nursing and all have had specialized training in dealing with the needs of Deaf older adults. Our philosophy is to provide physical care in a loving and caring manner.

  • Shopping services for incidentals available at the facility on a regular basis

Dietary Services

CCEC provides good tasting and attractively served meals in a bright and cheerful social environment. Special therapeutic diets are available and individual food preferences are observed. The Resident Council provides regular input into menu development and selects all holiday meals. A Licensed Registered Dietitian is employed to assure that the nutritional care and needs of the residents are met.

Social Services

This department serves as a liaison between the resident, family and CCEC and is staffed by licensed social workers. Our staff assists in referral to needed services, counseling, and discharge planning.
