December 22, 2009
Volunteers and staff served up turkeys the
Sunday before Thanksgiving. The annual event is
traditionally on this day, and many compliments were
passed to the kitchen staff. Many thanks also to the volunteers and families that
made this an enjoyable day for all.

September 11-13, 2009
The 32nd
Annual Fall Festival sponsored by the Ohio School
for the Deaf Alumni Association started with a
Friday Night Wingo Social, Spaghetti Dinner,
Saturday Wingo Social, and finished with the Fall
Festival at the picnic grounds on Sunday.

Bill
Logan, train designer, was on hand for the Columbus
Scenic Garden Railway Tour. Visitors of Columbus
Columbus were treated to the train tour.

Rockets and
planes, UFOs and fun, all waiting for the residents
of Columbus Colony Elderly Care. They visited the
popular Air Force Museum near Dayton, Ohio.

The company
picnic at Zoombezi Bay in Powell had some clouds in
the air but the spirit wasn't dampened of those who

May 23. Their trip to a local restaurant is

The 2009 Spring Dance was a success. Our sincere gratitude to all those
who donated their time to volunteer at the
dance, and to those who donated the beautiful women's dresses and
suits for the men to wear in the grand ballroom.

January 30, 2009
Columbus Colony has long-time employees so they are
missed when they leave. Carol Samples will be
missed. Carol has worked at CCEC for 24 years,
starting as daytime RN supervisor. Since March of
1985 she has worked numerous jobs including Staff
Development, Aide Training, Q/A, Charge Nurse, and
her last job as Unit Manager.
