URGENT: Medicaid Funding in State Biennial Budget

The Skilled Nursing Care Coalition is asking employees, families and friends to urge the senate and help increase Medicaid funding in the Ohio State biennial budget. Go to www.caringforohio.org in the “What You Can Do Now” section to access call buttons. Interested parties may also call 877/917-CARE toll-free to become involved and initiate a call. Reporting of Abuse, Neglect, or Misappropriation

Nursing homes are obligated by federal law to provide information on  filing a complaint of abuse or neglect of a resident of a nursing facility or misappropriation of a resident's property.

If you believe that a resident of a nursing facility has been abused or neglected, or if you believe that a resident's property has been misappropriated, you should report this information to the Administrator or the Director of Nursing. You may also report the information to a representative of the local or state long-term care ombudsman program or to the Ohio Department of Health.
