Enriching the
Quality of Life
When
I think of an enriched quality of life I think of
special times with friends and relatives. I think of sharing
my life and the good times with them. My family is important
to me.
I
love to see others and their families together as they share
in that special joy that exists when a child smiles at his
grandparents. I know at that point there is a feeling that
is home with an enriched quality of life that we can provide.
But
I know that this is not the home the residents of CCEC have
known for most of their lives. Their home is one they have
built, one that they have worked on in varying times, one
where their children, and their children's children, have
played and laughed.
We
are committed to provide an atmosphere where we can provide
your loved one with an enriched life. But our mission goes
further than that, we want to prepare your family member for
a return to their home where they can be successful with all
that life brings them. We offer occupational therapy,
physical therapy, speech therapy, and provide services so your loved one can
accomplish this as a goal. We set goals for each of our
residents and chart them so we can achieve a successful
outcome.
It
is our home that becomes their home during this delicate
period. We will never take the place of family, but we laugh
and share in the daily activities of all those who require
this special care. We are chartered to provide services for
the Deaf and the hard of hearing. This is a special
community where caring professionals communicate through ASL.
We are a licensed nursing facility in that we can give care
to anyone who requires it. CCEC is certified by Ohio
Medicaid and it is 100% reimbursed by Medicaid. Our 150-bed facility
has the capacity for Deaf, Deaf/blind, hard of hearing, and hearing.
It
is a modern facility that is self-supporting.
I
invite you to review our facility in person but hopefully give you enough information on this Internet site that
answers many of your questions. We have attempted to show
you that our residents are part of a community where the
staff and volunteers are committed to each other.
In
this way, it becomes their home and we are happy to know
that we have enriched their quality of life.
